The fact that a tree like the Neermathalam is growing on the campus of the Government Ayurveda College, established in 1889, is in itself a fact we should cherish. With medicinal properties in all its parts, it is much-acclaimed as being anti- inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial and analgesic.
